Visiting ‘22 charities in 22 countries in 22 weeks’ the ‘Real Way Down’ is an expedition through human suffering and kindness. The project will support each of our partner charities (list of partner charities) through the production of promotional videos, as well as through financial donations, and in this way offers both immediate and long term support. The series of films will be broadcast on the ‘Community Channel’, as well as via our multiple media partners, and with other such initiatives, hopes to use innovation and creativity as a powerful tool within development.

Un jour avec Basiliade

So, I guess today would be the day that the 'Real Way Down' journey truly began in earnest, and we have a lot of lovely people to thank for what was an inspirational day.

The morning began in hectic style, with myself (matt) having to some how find a place to park a 4x4 in Paris without paying extortionate fees, and all of us struggling to leave the house on time, after an exhausting day of travel on Sunday. (Merci beaucoup a Emily pour son accueil chaleureux).

The day, however, was truly marvellous, with so many wonderful people, working for a fantastic organisation called 'Basiliade', who help support people in Paris with HIV/Aids. Everyone we spoke to, workers and beneficiaries alike were so welcoming, and open, and despite all of the interviews being conducted in French, it really was a very moving day.

Photographs to follow….
